Adult and Child: First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification

Compass Health is offering a series of classes to fit your specific requirements. Each certification meets the Washington State Health and Safety Standards.

The Adult CPR Certification provides lifesaving skills for cardiac arrest emergencies. CPR includes chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Infant and Child CPR teaches people to prevent, recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies  First Aid Training prepares people to respond quickly for common medical emergencies such as sudden illnesses, cuts and burns and more. An Automated External Defibrillation is used when a life threatening cardiac arrhythmias leads to cardiac arrest. The AED stimulates an electrical pulse through the heart.

Participants will:

  • Attend this combined 4 hour class and learn First Aid, CPR, and AED
  • Earn a 2- year completion card through ASHI, American Health and Safety Institute
  • Infant and child CPR are included
  • Class includes the training guide

About Merit Emergency:

Bill’s early experience in firefighting and as an emergency medical responder has inspired him to pursue his passion of teaching and training in emergency preparedness. Bill created this company in 1998 and has been able to expand from CPR/First Aid Training to Emergency Preparedness Training, to BBP (Bloodborne Pathogen) Training, Fire Extinguisher Training and AED (automated external defibrillation) training, sales and disposable supplies. The expansion of Merit Emergency has added a team of trainers with various specialties in the medical field that has allowed Merit to become a holistic leader in emergency education in the northwest region. Bill is also a Co-Founder and board member/instructor of Issaquah Citizens Corps Council ICC, a nonprofit community of volunteers who help build awareness, educate, prepare and provide active participation during times of crisis.

Who should attend this class?

This course is for those required for to be certified in first aid, CPR, and/AED training and other interested community members.

As the class begins promptly, please arrive ten minutes early. Those who arrive late may be asked to leave without a refund or credit.

Those who stay to the end of class will receive a certificate of completion. Certificates will not be issued to those leaving early.

Electronic confirmation will be sent to you upon receipt of payment. After registration is received, an Outlook Invitation with details and the exact location will be sent. Accept the invitation and we will know you are coming. If you have paid and do not receive an Outlook Invitation in three to five days, please contact us. We do not allow drop-ins.

Please contact the Training Department at least ten days prior to the training if you have a disability or require special accommodations.

Cancellations must be emailed and received no later than seven days prior to the event. No refund or credit will be made after that date without prior approval. If we cancel the training, registrants will be offered the next class or a full refund.
